There are so many ways to detox and cleanse our bodies now a days!
3 day cleanses, 7days, a month, tea cleanses, no animal products, no alcohol, no sugar for x days and the list goes on and on. My husband and I did a no alcohol month in August, and we did a no sugar and very minimal processed food with the girls that same month. It was hard, but we felt great afterwards!
And that is exactly what we want out of cleanses right? That feeling of “clean” on the inside afterward, a sense of clarity in our head and body feeling a little more energized.
And that brings me to the cleanse that EVERYONE should do every single day of their lives.
Drumroll please, it’s called the water detox. Or the daily hit your h20 goal, or simply – just drink your darn water girl!
If you are reading these words I’m going to go a little wild and crazy here and guess that your gorgeous self live in a modern country, with easy access to pretty water bottles, information with why you should be hydrating every single day and the most important thing of all, you have access to CLEAN water. And yet – you too find that staying hydrated is freaking HARD.
Girl. It sure can be hard.
As a matter of a fact, I found some information saying that 75% of americans are chronically dehydrated. And even if they did drink some water, it didn’t matter due to all the caffeine, alcohol and high sodium foods they ate and drank. Isn’t that just crazy! That in the land of opportunities and proud Americans, 75% choose to be dehydrated.
…So instead of looking for another diet, another short cut in form of a shake or a pill, another cleanse or a detox – start creating habits for the most important and easiest of them all – simply getting enough water in daily – like every daMN day girl.
Staying hydrated is really like a cleanse for your body.
>It detoxes your body like getting rid of toxins.
>It boosts your metabolism (heeeelllloooo calorie burn!)
>It keeps you regular and not constipated. (Get rid of that shit girl – literally and figurative- see what I did there, eh!?)
>It boosts skin, hair and nails.
>Helps bones and joints
>Your heart, blood, liver, kidneys, muscles etc all needs it to work the best they can.
When you are dehydrated you feel fatigue, and that’s one of the most common complaints I hear from mamas, who tired they are! But what if you could boost your energy levels, your clarity, get rid of some of that foggy mom brain with simply just drinking water? Or having more power and energy in your work outs to go all in?
