Turmeric Milk

2 cups of whatever milk you prefer. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon cinnamon (or use a cinnamon stick)
1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil
About an inch grated or sliced fresh ginger
Dash of black pepper (makes the body absorb the turmeric better)
1 tablespoon of local honey

Mix and warm everything up except for the honey in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Stir often. Mix in the honey at the end. Enjoy in a big fancy cup.

Sometimes I add a green tea bag too. You can skim it and make a latte out of it too. Options are as always endless with my recipes! 🙂

This drink has helped me tremendously with drinking LESS coffee which is going REALLY good.

The coconut oil (with all it’s healthy fats) in this also FILL YOU up a ton. So this is perfect in the evening or afternoon instead of giving in to your cravings. Or enjoy a cup in the morning!
